But once your accommodation is sorted and your direct debits set up, it’s time to turn your attention to what to pack. The rule, according to the Evening Standard, is less is more. While tech must take a priority, don’t neglect your room. Think affordable and practical and order online to avoid lugging it home. The Evening Standard advises on the basics to get you started:
- Bedding
- Towels and tea towels
- Glasses, plates, mugs and cutlery, tin opener, corkscrew
- Cooking utensils and saucepans
