Cook Up A Profit
Fancy earning some extra cash from your kitchen table? WeFiFo, might just have the answer…
The newly-launched website aspires to “be to the kitchen table what Airbnb is to the spare room” – referring to the popular site that allows homeowners to let out bedrooms for cash. Launched by entrepreneur Seni Glaister, WeFiFo seeks to transform the kitchen table into a makeshift restaurant, with none of the red tape, overheads or staffing costs. The idea, says Glaister, is that home cooks prepare a meal, advertise with WeFiFo, then invite customers to dine at their home paying £10-£15 per head.
Hoping to trigger a ‘kitchen revolution’ Glaister says the site means people can eat out for less and have access to more dining options – especially in rural areas where restaurants are few and far between.
