We may have packed away our holiday wardrobes and bid a fond farewell to warm summer nights, but fear not – there’s something exciting about stepping into a new season.

Watch
The Great British Bake Off is back! Last week introduced us to the new contestants, kicking off with cake week. We can’t think of a better way to spend an evening than curled up under a cosy throw, cuppa and biscuits in hand, watching a bit of Bake Off.
Eat
It’s beetroot season and we can’t get enough of this delicious vegetable. Packed with essential nutrients, beetroots are an excellent source of fibre, folate (vitamin B9), manganese, potassium, iron and vitamin C. Whether you juice, roast or grate them into salads, beetroots are incredibly versatile and work well in both savoury and sweet dishes. If cooking isn’t on the agenda, we recommend The Alma in Wandsworth, London. Leeds Castle is once again hosting its popular Fireworks Spectacular on 9 – 10 November, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Leeds Castle Foundation. Prepare to be dazzled by a mesmerising fireworks display, with a full production of music, projections and lasers bringing the castle to life.
